Piece 04
Aging is the one thing everyone is dealing with every day, whether we notice it or not, whether we like it or not. The only choice we get is how we look at it.
Most people think of aging as getting old: something that fades, is replaced, and is judged against what it used to be.
I'd rather look at it differently. Not by what we're losing: the days, the collagen, the memory. But by what we're gaining: the lifetime, the experiences. The moments that are only ours because we lived long enough to have them.
Think of it as turning vintage. Vintage doesn't mean old. It means aged well enough to be sought after. A vintage piece isn't valuable despite its wear; it's valuable because of it. The fade in the denim, the softness worn into leather, the small imperfections that prove it's lived a life. That's what makes someone reach for it over something new and untouched. Provenance matters. The story matters.
So let's face aging not as a decline, but a becoming. Every year, another wash that softens you into someone more you, not less.
It doesn't matter if you're in your 30s, your 40s, your 50s. Your story is the point. The more of it you carry, the more there is to reach for.
